In our philosophy of art class we have looked at many different classical views on art and beauty. Such ideals as Plato’s criticisms on art, Aristotle’s idea of exemplary beauty and Plotinus’ splendor were discussed in class, and now we look at different philosophers and their attempt to create a theory that holds true for all previous philosophies and more modern ideals; modern ideals such as taste, aesthetics, and imagination. The philosopher that I think did this very well incorporating not only classical philosophers such as Aristotle and Plato but also modern concepts such as imagination and aesthetics is Nietzsche. Nietzsche’s philosophy on life and on art is deceptively simple. He believes that we are all part of a large will,†¦show more content†¦Coming from a more modern time he was able to look at each of these philosophers and come up with his own philosophy that allows for a little of each of these men’s ideals as well as a litt le space for his own, and for the modern era from which he comes. One classical philosopher that has a few ideals in common with Nietzsche is Plato. The theories of Nietzsche’s work with different ideals from Plato, but also have a few snags, or points of disagreement. It is Nietzsche’s view on the plight of human life and losing our congruence with The Will that allows him to agree with some of Plato’s teachings. When working with Plato’s theories on ideal beauty, inspiration, and his criticisms of art and the human condition Nietzsche tends to agree, however the two philosophers’ how and why are inconsistent between the two philosophers’ theories. For Nietzsche and Plato the human condition is full of lies and misnomers. For Plato this is based off shadows, or illusionary markers that are inconsistent with the truth. This shadows come from the human condition, more importantly our reliance on our senses to learn what is real. Plato believed that what people perceived was just a copy of the original shape or truth, and due to different perceptions between people would never be in true form. And In 2011, the United States accepted 56,424 refugees for resettlement. With Trump as our president and immigrants and refugees still leaking into our country, this topic is very relevant to the CDC. These immigrants are outsiders who seek medical treatment. Since these people are like foreigners t o the U.S, the CDC has to act against all diseases accompanied with the immigrants and refugees before they even start some sort of pandemic outbreak. The focus group in which I chose focuses on conducting global disease surveillance and response, they partner to improve refugee and migrant health, they improve the screening and treatment of disease worldwide, and they communicate health information globally. These few things tie in to the CDCs mission because as previously stated, the mission of the CDC is to protect our country against these diseases in which decide to try to enter. The focus area of the IRMH(immigrant, refugee,and migrant health) makes sure that they meet all of the CDCs mission goals. When new people enter our country, theres a chance in which they can bring some sort of virus or disease with them from where they lived. The job of the IRMH is to protect the U.S by investigating these diseases before they even spread. A community is a melting pot of people who come from all different types of backgrounds and all share at least one thing in common. These individuals, especially the newborns will mostly benefit from the work that the IRMH and CDC does because this age group specifically has the least strongest immune system. According to NCBI, they are most likely to catch something or get sick the fastest because their bodies are still in the process of building an immune system strong enough to fight. During times when foreigners migrate to the U.S, having someone to monitor diseases and viruses are important. These foreigners can bring lots of diseases and viruses along with them to the U.S. The IRMH makes it their duty and responsibility to keep us safe by treating the refugees and immigrants with the proper care treatment they need to reduce the risk of diseases spreading. My community and I can benefit from this because its what we deserve. No one deserves to catch a disease through someone else who didnt get treated. The efforts that the IRMH makes in our community serves to prove that what they are doing is going into effect. The CDC and IRMH serves to prove that they are taking things seriously. Treating refugees before letting them become free citizens is the best thing possible for everyones safety. Once a refugee gets the proper care and treatment needed, the risks of disease spread is way lower than what it couldve been. All in all, the CDCs mission statement was not one that was false advertised. They are doing what they can to their best ability to get these diseases to not spread. The IRMH is also true to their statement. These people are the big shot. They are the ones who cut down to the chase and go through each and every refugee and make sure they are free of diseases and viruses. Variables and hypothesis: The main variables concerned in this study are production figures of different minerals, income or profit generated from selling these minerals, various other factors like wages, employment, inventories purchased etc. The production figures and income are independent variables. On the other hand, wages, employment, inventories to be purchased depends on the production figures. So these are dependent variables (Trudinger, Walter and Ralph 2013). The hypotheses that are to be tested in this research work are: 1. There is any seasonal or cyclical pattern in the production figures. 2. The employment, wage figures, cost of inventories are dependent on income figures. Operational definitions and measurements: The problem in this research work is to estimate the effect of change of income in employment status, wage value, labor and capital in the mining industry. The variables of income are measured in terms of millions of $. The other variables like wages, expenses, labor costs, and change in inventories are also measured in millions of $. The figures of employments are measured in number. Since the figures are for the whole mining industry and quite large, an error of about 5% can be tolerated. The data is secondary data has been collected from Australian Bureau of Statistics. The data is subjected to non sampling errors. Research design and methodology: The data collected here is a secondary data. The data is obtained in the form of an excel file from an organizations site.
